Opening of Hub Culture Pavilion takes social networks to the next level
(London) Hub Culture (HubCulture.com), the social network that focuses on connecting global influencers for strategic collaboration, insight and wealth creation, will open its first physical presence in London on Wednesday, 25 March 2009. The London Pavilion offers a stunning modern environment for members to meet, work and collaborate.
Hub Culture Pavilions offer a new and successful way for businesses and individuals to work together, enabled by social networks. With increasing demand for online communities to meet in physical spaces, Hub Culture is rolling out workspace venues worldwide. These Hub Culture Pavilions offer access to a global suite of social tools and act as a professional meeting place and collaboration environment. Members can connect with wifi and internet, phones and internet enabled tele-presence, and enjoy extra services including access to private chefs, personal trainers, car and travel services, and knowledge brokers - vertical industry experts available on a consultative basis.
Membership is limited and by invitation. There are three membership categories for individuals and corporations, which include access to the emerging global Pavilion network, free wifi, working space, online storage, snacks, drinks and coffees as well as access to exclusive benefits from luxury partners.
Established in 2002, the Hub Culture community consists of 20,000 business experts from various industries who have been invited to join or have been recommended by existing community members. Hub Culture provides them with social networking tools to interact and group infrastructures for efficient collaboration. Members use Ven, the first digital currency to buy, sell and share knowledge globally – such as introducing business contacts to other members. The Ven is pegged to the US dollar and floats against other currencies. All products and services available at the Pavilions are valued in Ven, making history as the first physical space to operate purely on a virtual currency.
Partners in the Pavilion initiative include Cisco, BT, Amazon Web Services, Apple, ThomsonReuters and Xerox, all of which are collaborating for content, equipment and services at the Pavilion. Showroom partners include KATIKA, Trinatura, Dan-Form, ARZU, Korres Natural Products, Method Home, Luxe Guides and Gaggia, offering everything from fairtrade coffee to sustainably designed products, all available for sale in Ven.
Stan Stalnaker, Creative Director at Hub Culture Services, commented: "The age of networked work is upon us. Hub Culture Pavilions radically lower the cost of working space for today's knowledge leaders while boosting efficiency through collaboration. Intelligent networks can lower business costs and improve sustainability by sharing knowledge, information, and now physical space to the benefit of all. It is our goal that the Pavilions will usher in a new way of looking at work, while creating a new depth of style and substance to these activities in which we all spend so much time."
The London Pavilion is located on Carnaby Street at Kingly Court, 49 Carnaby Street, London W1F9PY

Additional notes: The service office and virtual office environment is a bright spot in today's dull economy, forecasting growth rates as businesses seek to lower facilities and operations costs. As technology enables remote working, the Pavilions also offer a sustainable approach to work, reducing commuting and travel distances while pooling workers to lower carbon emissions.
