- The Launch of Reuters Messaging Interchange (RMI)
To maximise awareness across the UK and US media and industry analyst houses of the launch of Reuters Messaging Interchange(RMI), Thomson Reuters' new instant messaging technology. For the first time, RMI allows users to connect and communicate with colleagues and counterparts in different companies worldwide by using just one instant messaging connection. Previously, those using different instant message applications were unable to talk to each other, creating huge communication barriers. RMI was developed in partnership with Microsoft, IBM and Cisco, the other dominant players in this space.
