Claire Burston – Managing Partner & Head of Consumer Finance Team
Claire heads up the Consumer Finance Team at Penrose, having joined the company in March 2001, and was promoted to the Penrose Board in November 2003. Claire’s background is as an award-winning financial journalist, a career which spanned over a decade and included the launches of Investment Week and Bloomberg Money and the re-launch of the award winning investment section of Sunday Business (Sunday Investor). She began her financial journalism career at Money Marketing, where she was investment editor, having cut her teeth on local Surrey newspapers and the Edinburgh Evening News. She also worked for several years as part of the Mail on Sunday’s personal finance team.
Claire leads the 10-strong team specialising in retail asset management, personal and consumer finance, working with a broad range of household names and specialist financial service providers.
